Pu\u00f2 portare a condizioni operative insicure con elevate perdite di produzione. La deposizione di sali \u00e8 spesso rilevata nelle colonne del frazionatore principale del cracking catalitico fluido. Le concentrazioni pi\u00f9 elevate di cloruro nei residui di materie prime possono dare origine a incrostazioni di sali di ammonio. Le basse temperature del frazionatore principale delle unit\u00e0 di cracking catalitico fluido aumentano il rischio di incrostazioni. Gli impatti negativi sono l'aumento della caduta di pressione, l'allagamento della sezione superiore e le perdite di produzione. Il recupero del calore \u00e8 essenziale nelle unit\u00e0 di processo che funzionano con reattori. Le unit\u00e0 di processo tipiche in cui si verificano incrostazioni o corrosione dei sali di ammonio sono gli idrotrattori, gli idrocracking e i reforming catalitici. Gli additivi ACF sono formulazioni liquide con una forza di base molto elevata. L'ACF reagisce immediatamente con acidi forti come l'acido cloridrico. La base forte ACF spiazza la base debole cloruro di ammonio o bisolfuro di ammonio dai suoi sali. I prodotti di reazione dell'ACF hanno un pH neutro e un potenziale di corrosione molto basso. Rispetto a questa situazione, un sale di ammonio ha un potenziale di corrosione molto elevato.<\/p><p>La tecnologia incorpora anche un'elevata propriet\u00e0 di assorbimento dell'umidit\u00e0 (molto igroscopica). I sali ACF possono assorbire l'umidit\u00e0 dal vapore circostante per mantenere liquidi i sali ACF formati.
